In 1689 Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan manager of the castles Latour and Margaux bought neighboring vines and created L"Enclos Rauzan these vines were part of the dowry of his daughter Th・・r・・se when she married Jacques de Pichon Baron de Longueville in 1694.
More than a century and a half later in 1850 the property was divided between Baron Raoul Pichon de Longueville who gave birth to the Pichon Baron estate. The other part goes to the three sisters it will be the Pichon Comtesse estate. One of the three Virginie Pichon de Longueville Countess of Lalande built the neo-classical castle that bears her name.
